As an IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs Manager, I am intested in the field of corporate philanthropy and in hearing from others in the field. I work primarily wth states in the Southeast - AL, AR, KY, LA, MS, and TN, as well as IN and OH. I live in Memphis so often pilot new programs nearby before rolling them out to other locations.
I would be interested in others' experiences with corporate grantmaking through international programs which strengthen the home company as a global enterprise and provide valuable professional development for employees to be more effective leaders in the world market.... an innovative approach to corporate grantmaking. The excitement, company loyalty, and improved global leadership skills are evident.... all while donating a valuable service The program has similarities to a 'corporate' Peace Corps.
